A 30A manual-reset circuit breaker for 12–48V DC systems, sized for lighting circuits, a water pump, a fan or a USB panel. It resets by hand, so a fault costs you a button press rather than a spare fuse you did not pack.

The F-style base mounts on the surface, the body seals to IP67, and it is ignition protected — so it can live in an engine bay or battery box where fuel vapour is a possibility. The push button opens the circuit on demand for isolation; resetting is a separate, deliberate action. Size the cable to the breaker, not to today's load: the breaker protects the cable, so the cable has to carry what the breaker will pass.

What is 30A the right size for?

Lighting circuits, a water pump, a fan, a USB panel — branch circuits rather than the main feed from the battery. It is the top of the small-cable sizes: 5mm minimum with yellow crimps. Step up to a bigger breaker once a fridge, heater and inverter share one run.

Do I need one at each end of a long run?

If there is a battery at each end, yes. Protection belongs close to every source that can push current into the cable, so a vehicle battery up front and a camper battery down the back means a breaker at both. One breaker only guards the cable on its own side of a fault.

How cold is too cold for it?

Colder than anywhere you will camp. It operates from −32°C to +85°C, so a frosty night in the high country is nowhere near the limit. The heat end is the one to think about: a breaker bolted next to an exhaust is closer to trouble than one out in the weather.
