A 50A manual-reset circuit breaker in a flush-mount body, sized for fridges, diesel heaters, smaller inverters and the feed into a distribution panel. The breaker sits behind the panel with only the reset button and studs presented, which suits a switch panel, battery box lid or purpose-built distribution board.

Sealed to IP67 and ignition protected, it resets by hand rather than consuming a fuse. Size the cable to the breaker rating, not to the load you happen to be running today.

What does 50A suit in a touring build?

A fridge circuit, a diesel heater, a smaller inverter, or the feed into a distribution panel. It is the size most people land on for the main run into a rear fuse block. The cable has to be 8 B&S or heavier with a 10mm lug, so allow for stiff wire behind the panel.

Breaker or fuse for this job?

A breaker if you travel remote. A blown fuse needs a spare you may not have packed; this resets with a thumb once you have found and fixed the fault. The trade-off is a mechanical device living in a vibrating vehicle, so check it over occasionally rather than forgetting it exists.

Is the flush version sealed as well as the surface one?

Same IP67 body, yes. What changes is where the seal matters: flush mounting puts the housing behind the panel, so the panel face takes the weather and the terminals sit in the dry. Make the hole clean and the fit tight, or you have made a funnel into your battery box.
