A 250A manual-reset circuit breaker for 12–48V DC systems, sized for battery-to-busbar main feeds and large inverter runs. It resets by hand, so a fault costs you a button press rather than a spare fuse you did not pack.

The F-style base mounts on the surface, the body seals to IP67, and it is ignition protected — so it can live in an engine bay or battery box where fuel vapour is a possibility. The push button opens the circuit on demand for isolation; resetting is a separate, deliberate action. Size the cable to the breaker, not to today's load: the breaker protects the cable, so the cable has to carry what the breaker will pass.

Who actually needs 250A?

Big inverters and heavy battery-to-busbar feeds, usually in a motorhome or a serious touring van. The cable to match is 00 B&S with 70mm lugs — thick, heavy and awkward to route. If you are not running cable that size, a smaller breaker protects your system better.

Can I terminate 00 B&S myself?

Not with hand crimpers. 70mm lugs on 00 B&S want a hydraulic crimper and a steady hand, and a poor crimp at this current gets hot enough to matter. Have the ends made up properly, then bolt them to the 3/8-16 studs at no more than 5.6 N•m.

Does a manual reset still make sense at this size?

More than ever. A fault on a 250A feed is not something you want a device quietly re-closing onto, and a replacement fuse for a feed this heavy is not a thing you carry. Find the fault, fix it, press the button. That is the whole argument for a breaker here.
