A 20A manual-reset circuit breaker for 12–48V DC systems, sized for lighting circuits, a water pump, a fan or a USB panel. It resets by hand, so a fault costs you a button press rather than a spare fuse you did not pack.

The F-style base mounts on the surface, the body seals to IP67, and it is ignition protected — so it can live in an engine bay or battery box where fuel vapour is a possibility. The push button opens the circuit on demand for isolation; resetting is a separate, deliberate action. Size the cable to the breaker, not to today's load: the breaker protects the cable, so the cable has to carry what the breaker will pass.

Common questions about AllSpark Circuit Breakers - Surface Mount 20A

Why choose surface mount over flush?

Because you can bolt it where there is nothing behind — a chassis rail, a battery box wall, the side of a drawer. The F-style base sits on top of the surface, so no hole saw and no fishing about behind a panel. It does take up room in front though.

What can I protect with 20A?

Lighting circuits, a water pump, a fan, a USB panel — the small branch circuits rather than a main feed. Cable needs to be 4mm or heavier, terminated with blue crimps onto the studs. Anything with a motor and a decent start-up surge belongs on a larger breaker.

Can it live in the engine bay?

Yes. It is sealed to IP67 and ignition protected to SAE J1171, which is the bit that matters where fuel vapour can collect. Keep it off the hottest metal, mount it so the button faces somewhere you can reach, and keep the run from the battery as short as you can.
