A 150A manual-reset circuit breaker for 12–48V DC systems, sized for DC-DC charger feeds, solar controller inputs and the run between a battery and a busbar. It resets by hand, so a fault costs you a button press rather than a spare fuse you did not pack.

The F-style base mounts on the surface, the body seals to IP67, and it is ignition protected — so it can live in an engine bay or battery box where fuel vapour is a possibility. The push button opens the circuit on demand for isolation; resetting is a separate, deliberate action. Size the cable to the breaker, not to today's load: the breaker protects the cable, so the cable has to carry what the breaker will pass.

What sort of build needs 150A?

One with a serious inverter or a heavy battery-to-busbar feed. At this size the terminations change: 3/8-16 studs, 2 B&S cable as a minimum, 35mm lugs with a 10mm hole. If your cable is lighter than that, you want a smaller breaker, not a bigger one.

Do I need an auto sparky for this?

For 2 B&S lugs you need a hydraulic crimper, so either borrow one or let an auto electrician terminate the ends. The mounting and the nuts you can manage yourself: flat surface, correct lugs, and no more than 5.6 N•m on the studs. Bad crimps at this current run hot.

Can I use it on a 48V system?

Yes — it is rated across 12–48V DC, so anything from a 12V touring rig to a 48V bank sits inside its window. The interrupt rating is quoted at 30V DC, which is the reference figure for fault clearing. The rule does not change: protect the cable, and keep the breaker near the battery.
