Common questions about AllSpark 6 way push button switch panel

Is six too many for a simple build?

Six is generous for a weekend tourer and about right for a full-time rig. Unused buttons do no harm beyond the space they take, and a blank legend today becomes a heater or a second pump next year. The bigger question is whether the panel fits where you can reach it.

How do I wire six circuits without a mess behind the dash?

Run every switch back to a common feed and a common earth rather than chasing individual paths, and label both ends of each wire before you push the panel home. Loom the runs together, leave a service loop so the panel pulls out for a look, and keep joins out of wet areas.

Who is this not for?

Anyone with three circuits and no plans to add more. You end up with buttons you will never press and a bigger hole cut in the panel than the job needed. It also suits a mapped-out build; if your circuit list is still moving, settle it before you cut anything.
