Common questions

What is the corner version for?

Mounting where two surfaces or rails meet at an angle — transom corners, the junction under a bimini frame, the dead space at the back of a centre console. It puts a rod holder where a flat mount will not sit square.

Is 5-way adjustment better than fewer positions?

It matters once you run more than one rod. Extra angles let you splay outfits wider apart so trolled lines do not cross behind the boat, and it gives you a near-upright option for stowing rods while you are motoring between spots.

Is it safe to leave a rod in it unattended?

The barrel holds a rod; it does not lock one in. A solid hit from a decent fish can lift an outfit clean out and over the side, especially from a low corner position. Run a leash from the reel seat to a cleat or rail.
