Common questions

What does 3-way adjustment actually give me?

Three locked angles for three jobs: near upright to stow a rod out of the walkway, kicked out for trolling so lines splay away from the hull, and low for soaking a bait. Set it for the fishing you do most and leave it.

Is SS316 worth it over a lesser stainless?

On saltwater it is the difference between surface staining and actual pitting. SS316 handles salt spray and dries off with a rinse; lower grades pit around the welds and fasteners after a season of coastal use. Freshwater only, it matters far less.

Will the clamp fit my rail?

Measure the outside diameter of your rail before choosing. Rail mounts clamp around tube, so the tube size decides whether it seats properly, and this listing does not publish a rail diameter. If your boat runs square or angled rails, you want a different mount.
