The tool tray is the one that earns its place. It stops Allen keys and chain pins disappearing into campsite grass, which is where small parts go to die. The handlebar holder is more situational, handy when you are stripping a bike down or hanging a wheel.
A bit, and that is the trade you make. Alloy keeps it light enough to live in a caravan bay and it will not rust on a coastal trip. Under a long breaker bar on a seized bottom bracket the stand will move before the bolt does.
Wind it up so the cranks sit near your waist for drivetrain work — that is usually mid-range rather than the full 161.5 cm. Go higher only for brake and cable fiddling. Lower is steadier, and on uneven campsite ground lower is what you want anyway.
