Only if the base is sound. This is the top cover on its own, which is the part that usually goes: UV makes it brittle, then a low branch or a highway gust finishes it. If the base is cracked too, you need both halves.
Not a good plan. The cover keeps rain, leaves and wildlife out of the fridge cavity while still letting hot air escape. Run a van without one through a wet season and you will be chasing water stains down the back of the fridge instead.
Usually not. Replacing a top cover is a roof-level task with hand tools, and the fiddly part is sealing it properly rather than the fitting itself. If you are not comfortable working on a caravan roof, that is the reason to hand it over.
