Big, open or badly insulated spaces: long motorhomes, bus conversions and anything with a lot of glass or thin walls. In a compact van it is too much heater, and too much heater idles rather than runs, which is the state they like least of all.
It draws less current for the same heat, which is the point of a 24V system: thinner cable for the same job over a long run. Total energy used is much the same. The heavy moment is still start-up, so size the cable and fuse for that, not the steady state.
Run it hard occasionally. A heater that only ever ticks over on low builds soot in the burner, so give it a solid burn at full output now and then and let it cycle properly. Keep the exhaust clear of mud wasp nests between trips, and use clean fuel.
