Yes. A 24V heater needs a 24V supply, and feeding it from a lower-voltage bank through a converter is asking for a heater that starts unreliably in the cold. Pick this one only if your house system is genuinely 24V, which usually means a truck, bus or expedition build.
The same space it would anywhere: one living area in a van, a camper or a small bus conversion. Voltage changes the wiring, not the heat. If the build is long, poorly insulated or full of glass, look at the bigger output rather than running this one flat out.
If the heater lives in a vehicle you leave running to a temperature while you are out or asleep, setting a number beats guessing at a dial. If you only ever flick it on for an hour of an evening, the rotary version does the same job with less to learn.
