Overview

The Victron Orion-Tr Smart 24/24-17A (400W) Non-isolated DC-DC Charger delivers intelligent, multi-stage charging from a 24V vehicle or alternator source directly to a 24V service battery — without the cost or bulk of an isolation transformer. Rated at 400W continuous output and up to 17A charge current, it integrates Victron's renowned adaptive charging algorithm supporting AGM, gel, lithium (LiFePO₄), and standard flooded batteries. Built-in Bluetooth connectivity pairs with the free VictronConnect app, letting you monitor charge status, configure battery profiles, and set engine-running detection thresholds — all from your phone, no additional hardware required.

Purpose-built for Australian caravanners, 4WD tourers, and RV travellers running 24V dual-battery systems, the Orion-Tr Smart 24/24-17A is the go-to solution for keeping your house battery bank topped up on the road. Whether you're crossing the Nullarbor, heading bush in a dual-cab ute, or parked up at a remote campsite after a long drive, this charger ensures your lights, fridge, CPAP, and 12V accessories keep running. The non-isolated design keeps things compact and efficient, making it ideal for installations where alternator output and service battery share a common negative — common in caravans, camper trailers, motorhomes, and slide-on campers across Australia.
