Overview

A replacement 7" colour monitor for compatible Sphere wired reversing camera systems, clipping straight over your vehicle's existing rear-view mirror. Keeps the display in a familiar viewing position without adding a separate dashboard screen.

Common questions

Will this work with the camera I already have?

Only if the rest of your system is Sphere and wired. Reversing gear is not standardised: the plug may physically fit another brand's lead and still have the video, earth and power pins in a different order. Check what is on the end of your existing cable before ordering.

Is a mirror-mount monitor better than a dash screen?

It keeps your eyes where they already go, which is the argument for it. The catch is that it sits over your interior mirror, so you lose some of that view, and it will not clip neatly over a mirror loaded with sensors or an auto-dimming module. Check yours before committing.

Is 800 x 480 enough resolution to reverse by?

For lining up a hitch or judging the last metre into a site, plenty. It will not let you read a numberplate behind you, and on a wet day the water sitting on the camera lens limits you long before the screen does. Mirrors stay your main tool on the road.
