Use the dry PTFE where grit is the enemy. On rod guides, reel exteriors and anything sandy, a wet oil turns into grinding paste within a trip. Internal reel bearings and gears still want the right wet lube or grease, so this is a companion to your service kit, not a replacement.
It shouldn't. The whole point of a dry film is that it flashes off wet and leaves PTFE behind rather than oil, so it won't leave grease marks on fabric, foam or the surface next to what you sprayed. Still mask up around fabric and give it time to dry.
That's not its job. Supa Glide is about making things slide — zips, drawer runners, window tracks, rod guides — and a dry film doesn't hang around on bare steel the way a protective oil does. For corrosion protection on tools and trailers, reach for a wet Inox instead.
