Key features
- Purpose-built for the 80-135kg ball weight range of campers and small caravans
- Snap-up brackets make hitching up quick and effortless
- Triangular plates keep both sides evenly adjusted
- Restores proper handling and braking by distributing ball weight across both axles
Overview
A four-bar (19mm) weight distribution system for intermediate ball weights between 80kg and 135kg — the sweet spot for camper trailers and smaller caravans. Snap-up brackets make raising and lowering the chains effortless, and triangular plates let you adjust and equalise each pair of bars together.
Common questions
How do I know my ball weight lands in the range?
Weigh it, do not guess. A ball weight scale under the jockey wheel takes a minute and settles the argument. Loading the front boot with gas bottles, a generator and the tools can push a van well past the 80 to 135kg window this system is built for.
What happens if I fit bars rated too heavy for my van?
You get a harsh, skittish ride and you load the A-frame in ways it was not designed for. Bars too stiff for your ball weight do not flex as intended, so the tow vehicle's nose never comes back down and the van feels like it is steering the car.
Can I hitch up on my own with this?
Yes, and that is what the snap-up brackets are for. You wind the jockey wheel up to take tension, flick the levers over and wind back down again, no second pair of hands. Set the chain links once with the van loaded the way you actually travel.
