The system is compatible with Bussmann LMI "Little Block" fuse panels, so it drops into an existing installation or forms the basis of a new one.

Why Midi fuses instead of blade fuses?

Because blade fuses run out of puff well below what a charger or inverter feed draws. Midi and AMI fuses handle up to 200A per holder here and clamp down with bolts rather than push-fit spades, which matters on corrugated roads where a spade contact will fret itself loose.

Will this drop into my existing Bussmann setup?

It should, since the system is built to suit Bussmann LMI Little Block panels, so it either extends what you have or starts a new block. Check the physical layout of your existing panel first, because compatible does not always mean it lands in the same footprint.

Is 3 holders right for a dual battery build?

It suits most: a DC-DC charger, a solar feed and the main distribution run, each on its own fuse. If an inverter is coming later, plan the space for another holder now. The block accepts more holders, but the feed cable and the 400A busbar limit stay where they are.
