An insulated 4-tab copper busbar that turns one heavy feed into 4 protected outputs. The tabs are designed to carry AllSpark surface-mount circuit breakers, so the breakers bolt straight to the bar instead of being wired in individually.

The bar is nickel electro-plated and insulated, which keeps a dropped spanner from finding a live face. The surface body screws down inside a battery box or onto a bulkhead.

What does 150A across 4 tabs mean in practice?

Add up what runs at the same time, not what is connected. A fridge, some lights and a water pump together sit nowhere near 150A; add an inverter and you will. The bar carries the total, so the feed cable and its protection have to carry it too.

Which end does the main feed go on?

Either end works electrically, but put the heavy feed closest to the biggest load so the current has the shortest path through the bar. Then land the small circuits further along. It is a small gain, and it also keeps the fat cable out of the way of the rest.
