Holding the van still once it is off the tow vehicle. Park on any slope and chocks alone are a nervous way to live, especially while you are winding down corner steadies and people are climbing in and out. Pull it on before you unhitch, not after.
Only if your van's ATM approaches it. Rating is a ceiling, not a performance figure, so a bigger number does not tow better. What it does give you is headroom if you later add a second spare, a bigger battery bank or water tanks, which is how vans quietly gain weight.
Only if you are comfortable working on a braked drawbar. The coupling is a structural part of the braking system, so bolt torque, brake adjustment and the wiring all have to be right. Plenty of people do it themselves, but a wrong guess here is not a rattle, it is a brake failure.
