Overview
The Nortent Vern 1 is an extremely durable, solid one-person (1.5-berth) four-season tent, built for long hikes deep into the mountains and across isolated, windswept plains where a genuinely reliable shelter isn't optional. Its aerodynamic profile and many anchoring points keep it planted when the weather turns, and every exposed area of the outer fabric is reinforced with one of the world's strongest fibres for resilience where it matters most. Setup is quick and intuitive — with a little practice it pitches in 2–3 minutes.
The flysheet is a fully waterproof ripstop silnylon 30D (3000 mm hydrostatic head) over an exceptionally tough 70D nylon floor rated to a class-leading 10,000 mm hydrostatic head. Three 9.6 mm DAC NSL poles give it its stable, wind-shedding shape. A three-valve ventilation system — two low intakes at each end and an exhaust above the entrance (which doubles as a rain overhang when the door is open) — manages condensation, and all entrances adjust to suit the conditions.
Anchored by 18 aluminium Y-pegs and 10 Dyneema guylines, the Vern 1 packs down to just 40 × 19 cm at a minimum weight of 2.3 kg. An optional Vern 1 footprint (sold separately) protects the floor on rough ground.

The 3 pole 2024 version of the Vern 1 is a game changer for Nortent. A very strong, well made and stable one person tent with a versatile entrance and a well thought out interior. One of the few one person four season tents that a taller person can use and feel comfortable in. Easy and fast to erect no matter what the conditions. A very enjoyable and useable tent.
