Overview

The REDARC BCDCN1240 Core DC-DC Battery Charger delivers a full 40A of charging current to keep your auxiliary battery topped up on every trip. Its dual-input design combines a DC-DC charger, an MPPT solar regulator and a smart battery isolator in one compact 0.9 kg unit, and Green Power Priority uses solar first so there is less load on your alternator and less fuel burnt. Designed, tested and manufactured in Australia, it suits 12V and 24V standard or smart alternators and charges AGM, Gel, lead acid, calcium and LiFePO4 lithium batteries.

Built for in-cabin, canopy and battery box installations, the BCDC Core is a practical choice for 4WD tourers, camper trailers, caravans and motorhomes heading off-road across Australia. It runs silently with no fans or relays, so it can be tucked under a rear floor, behind a side panel or beneath a seat. REDARC suggests the 40A model for lead acid battery banks over 200Ah and lithium batteries over 100Ah, which makes it a good match for a fridge, lights, a diesel heater and device charging on extended outback camping trips. It is not suited to engine bay installation, so choose a BCDC Classic model for under-bonnet mounting.
