Common questions about 8x5 Box Trailer Cage Canvas Cover 900mm — Rip-Resistant Waterproof

Will it fit my trailer?

Check the cage height as well as the tub size. The tub needs to be a standard 8x5 and the cage needs to be 900mm tall. Plenty of cages are higher or lower than that, and a cover cut for the wrong height either leaves the bottom open or will not reach the rail.

Does it stay put at highway speed?

If you tension it, yes. Canvas left slack beats itself to death against the cage on the first long run and takes your load's protection with it. Pull the hem down evenly, strap it off, then stop after the first stretch of highway and re-tension everything while it is still fixable.

Will water pool on top of it?

It can, if you pack flat. A cover stretched level over a half-empty cage becomes a bathtub in a downpour and the weight stretches the canvas out of shape. Load with a bit of height through the middle so water runs off, or put something underneath to make a peak.
