Common questions about Trailer Cage Canvas Tarp Cover 6x4 — 900mm High Cage Universal Fit

Is it dust-proof for outback tracks?

No cover is. The canvas is UV-stabilised with a water-resistant coating and it keeps rain and most road grime off the load, but bulldust finds every gap around a cage. Bag anything that has to stay clean, so bedding, clothes and food, before it goes into the trailer.

How does it fasten down?

Bungee cords and straps around the cage, which is quick but wants checking. Hook the bungees to the frame itself rather than to each other, and run a strap over the top of a tall load. The stitching is reinforced along the edges where the tension goes, so inspect there.

Is it worth it for tip runs, or just camping?

Both, and the tip runs are where you notice it most. An uncovered load of garden waste leaves a trail down the road behind you the whole way. Full coverage from the top rail down means nothing lifts out at speed. It hoses off afterwards and packs away small.
