How do I know 200N is the right force for my hatch?
Match it to the strut you are replacing — force is stamped on most originals. Too little and the lid creeps down on you; too much and it fights you closing. If your old one has no marking, weigh the lid and count how many struts share the load.
What is the difference between the eyelet ends and ball studs?
Eyelets bolt straight through a pin or bolt, so if your old strut had eyelets this drops in with no new hardware. Ball-stud struts clip onto a stud screwed into the frame. They are not interchangeable, so check which end your hatch uses before ordering.
Should I replace both sides at once?
Yes. Struts fade gradually, so a fresh one paired with a tired one puts the lid out of balance and twists the hinge over time. If one has given up, the other is not far behind. Do the pair and you will not be back under the hatch next season.
