Treat it as lighter duty. The load passes through a threaded sleeve rather than a solid pin, and there is no rated capacity published here. It is a tidy way to join chain, rings and canopy lines, not a substitute for a rated shackle on a working load.
It can, with vibration or a rope working across it. Do the sleeve up fully, mark it so you can see at a glance if it has backed off, and check it when you check everything else. Somewhere critical, use a locking fitting instead.
Salt dries in the thread and welds the sleeve to the body. Once that happens you are cutting it off. A wipe of marine grease or anti-seize on the thread at fit-up, and a fresh water rinse after salt trips, keeps it turning when you need it to.
