In a bathroom, probably. In a boat cabin, an annexe or a camper where salt air eats plated hooks and the screws rust out of the wall in a season, marine stainless is the difference between fitting it once and fitting it every summer. Pick your spot accordingly.
Wet weather gear, towels, a hat, a torch lanyard. It's a clothes hook, not a load-bearing fitting, and what it holds depends far more on what you screw it into than on the hook itself. Into thin cabin lining, use a backing pad or you'll pull it through.
Head height in a walkway. A stainless hook in a narrow cabin or annexe becomes a hazard when the boat rolls or someone reaches past in the dark. Mount it below shoulder height, out of the traffic line, and somewhere drips can land on the floor rather than a bunk.
