Common questions about Camec Triple Bunk Blind and Fly Screen 1200 x 570mm
What makes a bunk unit different from a window one?
Height. At 570mm these are deeper than the units used through the rest of the van, because bunk windows sit taller relative to their width. Order a standard window blind for a bunk and you will be short at the bottom. Check the height, not just the width.
Does it screw in or clip on?
Screw fix, straight to the window frame, rather than the clip-on cassettes used on main windows. That is the right call above a bunk, where the blind gets grabbed, leaned on and hauled at by whoever is sleeping up there. Permanent beats convenient in that spot.
Will the kids destroy it?
Any blind over a bunk cops rougher treatment than one in the lounge. The screw fixing helps. Teach them to pull the rail rather than the fabric, and expect the bottom edge of the mesh to go first. It is a replaceable unit, so that is not a disaster.
