Unilug
No. It talks to your phone over Bluetooth, so you need to be near the bottle. That is fine for a walk out to the gas locker before you cook, useless from the lounge room at home. Treat it as a check before you travel and while you are parked up.
It reads through the steel wall of a standard cylinder, so give it a fair go: bottle upright, sitting on level ground, and let it settle before you trust the number. Reading it on a slope or while the van is rocking is how people decide these things do not work.
No. This tells you what is in one bottle, it does not switch supply when that bottle runs dry. Keep your changeover valve doing its job and use the monitor to decide whether the spare is worth a refill before you head somewhere with no gas within a day of driving.
