Common questions

What does a 3.5 kg load look like in real clothes?

3.5 kg is dry weight, so think a couple of days of shirts, shorts and smalls for two people. Towels and jeans soak up that capacity fast, and a doona will not go near it. Overfilling is what trips the out-of-balance sensor.

Will my battery system cope, or is water the real limit?

Water is the limit, not amps. Running the high level can put 78 L through a wash, which is a serious dent in most van tanks. Free campers should sit on the low setting near 26 L and wash smaller loads more often.

Where does it live while you are driving?

Not in a cupboard. At 18.5 kg and 740 mm tall it needs a strapped-down floor spot in a boot, tunnel or annexe, and 980 mm of clearance above it to open the lid. Plan the spot before you buy, not after.
