It runs the length of an 18ft to 21ft dual-axle van and reaches about as far out as a standard awning drops, so the mat and the shade line up. If your awning is a big roll-out or you set chairs beyond it, expect feet on the grass at the edges.
Not the way a solid tarp does. Water and air pass straight through the weave, which is why plenty of parks allow these and ban the plastic sheet kind. Leave it down for a fortnight in one spot and the grass will still go pale, so lift it when you are parked up long term.
Carrying 5kg is nothing. Wrangling a mat this size in a breeze on your own is the real job, because the weight that makes it easy to lift also lets it sail. Peg the windward corners through the eyelets first, then unroll. Folding it away wet is what ruins mats.
