What does a single door mean in practice?

The oven and the grill share a single cavity and a single door, so you cannot roast and grill at the same time. In a van that is usually the right compromise: it takes less bench height and less gas than a twin-door unit, and most camp meals are cooked in sequence anyway.

Is a caravan oven worth the space?

If you stay put for more than a night at a time, yes. Roasts, baked spuds and a tray of scones change what camp food feels like. If you are moving every day and cooking single-pan meals, the space and the gas are better spent elsewhere.

What should I check before ordering a replacement Duplex?

The aperture in your existing cabinetry and the model your van was built with. Spinflo has run several Duplex generations and the Mk3 is not always a drop-in match for an older cut-out. Measure the opening, photograph the gas connection, and compare before you pull the old unit.
