Overview
An extra-wide clip-on convex towing mirror twin pack for maximum rear visibility while towing a caravan.
Common questions
Do I legally need towing mirrors?
If your van is wider than the tow vehicle and you cannot see down both sides to the rear, yes. Australian road rules require a clear view down each side. Clip-ons like these are the usual answer for people who do not want permanent mirror arms fitted.
Do convex mirrors distort the view?
They do, and that is the trade. A convex face fits far more of the lane into the glass, which is what you want when checking a van's back corner. Judging exact distance is harder, so use them for awareness and your head for the final call.
Will clip-ons stay put at highway speed?
They will if they are fitted tight to a mirror they actually suit. The clamps need real tension and the pads need to sit flat on the housing. Check them at the first fuel stop, then every stop after. Buffeting from passing trucks works a loose one free.
