Must be returned within 30 days of purchase

Common questions about Jarrett Winch Cover Kit

What is a cover actually protecting against?

Sun and salt, mostly. UV is what turns webbing chalky and brittle long before it looks damaged, and salt spray is what seizes a pawl and rusts a drum from the outside in. A cover keeps both off the parts you never think to inspect.

Do I need one if the boat lives under a carport?

Less urgently, but a carport does nothing about salt air drifting in or morning damp settling on everything. The real question is how long the boat sits between trips. Weeks parked up, cover it. In and out most weekends with a fresh-water rinse, you can skip it.

Can I put the cover on a wet winch?

Do not. Covering a salty, wet winch traps the moisture against steel and does more damage than leaving it bare in the weather. Rinse with fresh water, let it dry, then cover. Same rule as a boat cover — trapped damp beats sunshine for wrecking things.
