Common questions about Devanti 600mm Range Hood 60cm Rangehood Black
Will a 600mm canopy actually fit in a caravan?
It is a domestic-sized canopy, so measure before you fall in love. You need 600mm of wall width above the cooktop, enough depth for the canopy to sit proud of the overhead lockers, and somewhere for the chimney to run. In a lot of vans the overheads have to be cut back first.
Ducted or recirculating in a van?
Duct it if you can. Recirculating pushes the air back into the same small space, so steam and smell largely stay with you, which defeats the point in a van you sleep in. Ducting means a vent through the wall or roof, properly sealed, but it is the version that actually clears a fry-up.
Can I run it when I am free camping?
It is a 240V appliance, so it runs at a powered site or off an inverter big enough to start a fan motor. Free camping, most people just open a window and skip it. Worth thinking about before you plan a rangehood into an off-grid build, where 240V time is rationed.
