Not directly. A 15A inlet takes a 15A caravan lead, and that lead has a larger earth pin that will not enter a household socket. You need an approved adaptor with its own protection, or a suitable outlet installed at the house by an electrician.
Only to look at. Electrically and physically it is the same fitting, colour aside. Dark trim on a dark van reads as factory, while a white fitting on a charcoal wall is the thing your eye lands on every time you walk past. Pick the one that disappears.
No. The lid earns its keep when nothing is connected, which is most of the time the van sits at home or in storage. With a lead in, the join is exposed, so hang a drip loop in the lead and let water run away from the fitting.
