The Nortent Varde 1 is a highly durable and dependable solo tent, built for demanding 4-season adventures across rugged mountains and remote, windswept plains. With its aerodynamic profile and multiple anchoring points, the Varde 1 stands firm in harsh conditions — a reliable companion when nature shows its strength — while clean, purposeful lines let it blend into its surroundings and tread lightly.

Setup is quick and intuitive: with a little practice the tent pitches in 2–3 minutes, ready to crawl into the warmth of your sleeping bag. Every exposed area of the outer fabric is reinforced with one of the world's strongest fibres for exceptional resilience where it matters most. The flysheet is a waterproof ripstop silnylon 30D (HH 3000 mm) over an exceptionally tough 70D nylon floor rated to a class-leading 10,000 mm hydrostatic head.

Four 9.6 mm DAC featherlite NSL poles, 16 Dyneema guylines and 20 aluminium Y-pegs deliver serious all-season stability, yet it still packs down to 40 × 19 cm at a minimum weight of 2.8 kg. An optional Varde 1 footprint is available to further protect the floor.

Nortent offers a 2-year warranty on all products in accordance with Norwegian consumer laws. This warranty covers:

However, to set clear expectations, the Noretent warranty does not cover:

Regular wear and tear from normal use
Improper use, including exceeding the maximum weight capacity
Cosmetic damage that does not affect function (e.g., minor scratches, fabric discoloration)
Modifications or alterations made to the product
Residue from duct tape or adhesives, which may void the warranty

The tent arrived 3 weeks earlier than expected no notification but I was happy it had arrived, I set it up inside everything was there and it was easy to set up. I experiment with the awning over the vestable and also found it easy to set up in varible configurerations. Also found the tent poles fold up shorter in length which allows the poles to fit nicely horozantal with the tent inside the back pack. All in all I'm extremely happy with the Varde 1 and will supply photo's with a report on the Tas overland track over this coming xmas.
