Overview

Common questions

Is a fan like this enough to sleep in the heat?

It moves air across you, which is what makes a hot night bearable — it does not cool the van. On a still summer night in the top end you will still want a hatch fan or air conditioning. Down south, moving air over the bunk usually does the job.

Can I charge a phone and run the fan at the same time?

Yes — the outputs and the motor are independent, so the fan keeps turning while your phone or tablet charges. It is all coming off the same house battery though, so overnight charging plus a fan running until morning adds up faster than people expect.

Where is the best spot to fit it?

Over the living area rather than directly above the bunk. The remote means you can sit it where the airflow sweeps the whole space and still change speed from your chair. In a darker interior the black finish disappears into the ceiling instead of drawing the eye.
