The Dometic Thermo Bottle 480ml is a double-wall vacuum-insulated stainless steel bottle that keeps a drink hot for 12 hours or cold for 24. The 480 ml size fits a standard cup holder, so it lives in the car, the van console or the boat as easily as it does in a day pack. The stainless steel body and lid shrug off knocks and scratches, and the screw cap is leak-proof with a fold-flat carry handle.

Fill it with coffee for the drive out, cold water for the walk, or something stronger for the campfire. Wide mouth for easy filling and cleaning, dishwasher safe and BPA free. Available in Moss (sage green), Ore (dark grey) and Glow (yellow).

Common questions about Dometic Thermo Bottle 480ml

Is 480ml big enough?

It is about a large takeaway coffee, or enough water for a short walk rather than a full day. The size is the trade-off for fitting a cup holder. If you want a bottle to last from morning smoko through to lunch, look at something bigger and accept it lives in the door pocket.

Does the hot figure hold up in real use?

Those figures assume you fill it and leave it shut. Every time you crack the lid on a bumpy track you dump heat, so a bottle opened at every stop will not go the full 12 hours. Rinse it with boiling water before filling and you claw a fair bit of that back.

How well does it survive being dropped?

It will dent rather than shatter, which is the point of stainless over glass or coated plastic. A hard hit on the shoulder is the one to avoid, because a deformed thread is what stops a leak-proof cap being leak-proof. Check the rim seats cleanly before you trust it in a pack.
