Common questions
At what point do I need a fridge slide?
Around here. The 55 is 20.7 kg empty and 55 litres of food on top of that, so reaching into the bottom over a tailgate gets old fast. A slide turns it from a two-person lift into something you open with one hand.
Can it hold 13 bottles standing up?
That is the rated figure, and 48 cm of height is what makes it possible. In practice you will not fill it with 13 x 1.5 L bottles and much else, so decide early whether this is the drinks fridge or the food fridge on a big trip.
Does it run as a fridge and freezer at the same time?
No, this one is a single zone — the whole 55 litres runs at one temperature between +20°C and -22°C. If you want both at once, the dual-zone models in the range are the answer. Otherwise most people just run it as a fridge.
