Overview
The Seamanship 16–18.5 Foot Waterproof Boat Cover is built from marine-grade 600D heavy-duty polyester canvas — a tight-weave fabric engineered to shrug off rain, UV radiation, dust, and mildew in the harshest Australian conditions. The cover is trailerable-rated, meaning it features a secure under-hull strap system that locks it firmly in place at highway speed, so your hull, upholstery, and electronics arrive at the boat ramp in exactly the same condition they left the driveway. Finished in a neutral grey, it fits V-hull, runabout, bowrider, bass, and pontoon boats from 16 to 18.5 feet in length.
Whether you're towing to a Murray River long weekend, storing your tinnie between fishing trips on the Hawkesbury, or keeping your bowrider out of the Queensland sun between seasons, this cover delivers reliable all-weather protection without the bulk or cost of a custom solution. Australian boaters and 4WD campers who trailer a boat to remote off-road destinations will appreciate the integrated storage bag — the entire cover packs down small enough to stow in a caravan storage bay or the back of a ute. An adjustable draw-cord hem and tightening strap ensure a snug, rattle-free fit whether parked at a campsite or rolling down the highway.

Common questions
How do I know if I need the 16 to 18.5 size or the one below?
Go by hull length measured along the centreline, bow to transom, and ignore what the rego papers say. If you land right on the join between sizes, take the larger one — a slightly loose cover can be strapped in, a short one never reaches.
Will it stop mould growing inside over winter?
It resists mildew itself, but a sealed damp hull will still grow fur. Pull the bung, leave the boat nose-high so water runs out, and prop the cover to let air move underneath. Airflow does more for a stored boat than any coating.
Does the draw-cord hem mean I can skip tie-downs when towing?
No. The hem holds the shape at rest; the under-hull strap is what keeps it on at highway speed. Wind gets under a cover at the bow first, so tension there hardest and check it at your first fuel stop. A cover that lifts once usually tears.
