Common questions

Will a 35 cm pan work on a camp stove burner?

It will sit on one, but a single burner heats the middle and leaves the rim cooler. Cast iron evens that out far better than steel, though 35 cm is a lot of metal to warm through one flame. Give it longer to come up, or put coals under the whole base.

Do I still need a pizza stone?

No. The low rim and the flat iron base do the same job, storing heat and dumping it into the dough the moment it lands. What you do need is heat from above, so cover it with a lid or a hood, otherwise the base crisps while the cheese sits pale.

What does pre-seasoned actually mean here?
