Common questions

Is 12 tonnes more than panel work needs?

The rating is what the ram can push, not what you should aim at a guard. Most panel jobs want gentle pressure spread over a plate, and a big ram working well below its limit moves slowly and predictably. That controllability is the real reason to buy capacity you rarely use.

Can I use it to hold a vehicle up?

No. A single-acting ram on a hand pump pushes and holds under pressure — it is not a stand, and hydraulics can lose pressure without warning. Use it to spread, straighten and align, then put the vehicle on rated axle stands before anybody puts a hand underneath it.

What do the attachments change?
