About this campsite

Kershaw Gardens, located opposite Stockland Shopping Centre, offers a serene environment ideal for day visits and overnight stops. Despite some areas being fenced off due to previous storm damage, the gardens continue to serve as a popular stopover with a large gravel car park. The site boasts a few picnic tables, including a covered one situated next to a charming creek. Please note that there are no additional facilities at this locale and parking regulations may vary, particularly at the second car park adjacent to the Knight Street roundabout.

A pleasant garden setting, just across the road from a Stockland shopping centre. Kershaw Gardens High Street car park which is a large gravelled area seems to have become an de facto free overnight spot. There are no signs restricting or permitting it (but neither are there any about what 'normal' parking is permitted). Some travellers are saying there is a 48 hour limit.... but who knows?! There are a few picnic tables including one covered one next to the picturesque creek, but there are no other facilities on the site. There is a second car park adjacent to the roundabout on the A1 highway at Knight Street where parking is permitted only until 1530 according to a notice there.
