If it has a conventional swingarm, almost certainly — the V-hooks sit under the swingarm either side of the wheel. Single-sided swingarms need a different stand entirely. Check there is clear, flat swingarm to grip and that exhausts or hugger panels are not in the road.
Only on something firm. The wide base spreads the load, but on soft ground or gravel one side will sink and the bike will lean before you can catch it. Lay a board or a sheet of ply under the base and you can use it anywhere.
Yes, and that is the point. The stand only ever carries the rear share of the bike's weight, so a 400 kg rating means it is nowhere near its limit with a loaded adventure bike on it. Headroom is what keeps a stand from flexing under you.
