Overview
The Sphere SSA-850 is the premium automated satellite TV system for caravans — a fully motorised dish that finds and locks onto your satellite signal automatically at the touch of a button. No manual aiming, no climbing on the roof to adjust the dish. Park, press a button, and watch.
The twin LNB design lets you connect two TVs or a PVR/recorder simultaneously. Runs on 12V DC for off-grid use and includes everything needed for a complete roof-mount installation.

- 12V DC operation — runs off your caravan battery
- Complete roof-mount installation kit included
- Low-profile motorised dish
- Remote control included
- Compatible with Foxtel and free-to-air satellite services
Common questions
Does the dish give me Foxtel on its own?
No. The dish finds and locks the signal; you still need a receiver box and an account with the service you are watching, whether that is a satellite subscription or the free-to-air satellite service. The dish is the aerial, not the source.
What stops it finding a signal?
Trees, mostly. The motor will hunt happily for a satellite it cannot see, so park with a clear view of the northern sky before you press the button. Deep gorges and dense bush campsites beat any dish. Pick your site with the sky in mind, then set up.
Is the twin LNB worth having if I only own one TV?
Yes, if you ever record. One output feeds the recorder, the other feeds the screen, so you can tape a program and watch something else at the same time. With a single screen and no recorder you will never use it, and a single output would do the job.
