Coast RV
The platform contacts the frame rails under the engine rather than the whole bike, so it works with less footprint than it sounds. Dirt bikes and enduros sit naturally. On a big adventure tourer with a bash plate and low pipes, find where you can safely make contact first.
Access without shifting the bike. Chain, sprockets, brake lines and the far side of the engine all come to you rather than you shuffling the jack around a cramped shed. In an open workshop with room to walk around, it is a feature you will rarely use.
Use the lock pin, every single time. Hydraulics can bleed down, and a bike coming down slowly still lands on you. Set the pin at working height, centre the bike over the platform, and strap or block it if you are pulling wheels off and changing the balance.
