Overview
An internal, universal-fit silver thermal cab blind that insulates the windscreen and cab windows against heat and cold.
Common questions
How snug will a universal blind be on my cab?
A universal blind sits against the glass rather than tailoring itself to your cab, so expect small gaps at the corners and around mirror arms. That is the trade-off for fitting almost any van. Tuck the edges behind the visors and you close most of the leak.
Internal or external screens — which does more?
Internal blinds are the easy option: fitted from your seat, no standing in the rain or wind, and nothing left outside to walk off. The trade-off is that the glass still heats up before the reflective layer does its work. On a scorching afternoon an external cover blocks more.
Is it any use in winter, or just summer?
Winter is where a cab blind earns its keep. The windscreen is the biggest cold surface in a motorhome, and covering it overnight slows heat loss and keeps condensation off the glass. You will still get some moisture where the blind meets the frame, so air the cab out in the morning.
