Treat it as a light-duty shelf. Two tiers of steel frame will take clothes, food containers, plates and camp odds and ends without complaint, but it isn't the place for a full water jerry or a battery box. Keep the heavy gear on the bottom tier and on the ground.
Not brilliantly. A folding frame needs every foot planted, and on soft grass or sand the legs sink unevenly and the whole thing rocks. Put it on annexe matting, a board or the hardest ground you can find, and load the bottom tier first so it sits heavy.
Under an awning, yes. Powder-coated steel handles dew and the odd shower, but a week of driving rain and salt air will find any chip in the coating and start a rust freckle. Wipe it dry before it folds away, and touch up scratches when you see them.
