Common questions

Is 38 kg a one-person lift into a caravan?

No. At around 38 kg empty and 1260 mm tall, it is awkward before it is heavy. The carry handles help, but the height works against you on a caravan step. Get a second pair of hands, and position it before you load it, not after.

Will it fit the alcove where my old bar fridge sat?

Measure to 500 mm wide and 545 mm deep, then add clearance behind for the compressor to breathe and in front for the door to swing past the bench. Boxing it in tight is the most common reason one of these runs hot and cycles constantly.

What does R600a mean for me?

It is isobutane, a hydrocarbon refrigerant that runs efficiently in small cabinets, which is why the draw stays sensible on 12V. It is also flammable in the quantities used, so do not drill or screw into the cabinet walls, and keep the rear coils clear of rags and packing.
