Common questions about Furrion DV5700S Remote Control

Will this remote work with my other Furrion head unit?

Only the DV5700S. Remotes across the Furrion range look much the same but are matched to one head unit, so check the model number on the face of your player rather than the caravan's build plate before you order. Anything else is a gamble.

My remote lights up but the head unit ignores it, so is the remote the problem?

Not necessarily. Flat batteries, a grubby sensor window or a head unit locked up after a voltage dip all look the same from the driver's seat. Pull the batteries, hold the power button on the head unit to reset it, and retest before you write the remote off.

Can I just use a universal remote instead?

You can try, though a caravan head unit is not a TV and generic remotes often miss the zone, source and tuner keys you actually use. A matched replacement gets every function back, which matters when the unit is mounted awkwardly above head height.
